The Pakistan women's cricket team has announced its squad for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Women's T20 Asia Cup, scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka from July 19 to July 28. Nida Dar will continue to lead the team as captain.

The squad sees the return of Armeen Javed, Aiman Anwer, and Syeda Aroob Shah, while Tasmeen Rabbani joins the team for the first time. However, notable players such as Ayesha Zafar, Natalia Pervaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shams, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali, Nahida Khan, Sana Mir, and Tuba Hassan have not been included in the squad this time.

Armeen Javed last played a T20I in October 2023, Aiman Anwer's last match was against New Zealand in December 2023, and Syeda Aroob Shah was last in action in September last year. Tasmeen Rabbani made her Pakistan A debut in November 2023 against West Indies A and Thailand.

The training camp for the Asia Cup will commence in Karachi on July 5 and will continue until the team's departure on July 16. Pakistan's campaign in the tournament will begin with a match against India on July 19, followed by matches against Nepal and the United Arab Emirates on July 21 and July 23, respectively.

The Asia Cup presents a significant opportunity for Pakistan's women cricketers to showcase their skills and compete at the regional level, aiming to achieve success in one of the premier tournaments in Asian women's cricket.
