Pakistan Have Won The Toss And Have Opted To Field Vs Ireland

In the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, Ireland's captain Paul Stirling commented on their decision had they won the toss: "That's what we would have done (bowl first). The pitch has been under covers for a while, so there will be some moisture on top. Hopefully, we can get through that and put a good score on the board. We had a good start in the series against Pakistan but couldn't capitalize. The World Cup brings a different scenario, and hopefully, it's another great game. Young is out today, and Ben White comes in."

Pakistan's captain Babar Azam, upon winning the toss, chose to bowl first, stating: "We'll have a bowl first. The pitch has been covered for the last three days, so there’s a little bit of moisture on it. As professionals, we need to prepare for every match, and we’ll look to play our best today. We have one change: Naseem isn't playing, and Abbas is in."
