In the 36th group match of the T20 World Cup, Pakistan defeated Ireland by 3 wickets.

Played in Lauderhill, Florida, Babar Azam won the toss and opted to bowl against Ireland. There was one change in the national team, with Abbas Afridi replacing Naseem Shah. Babar Azam mentioned that there was some dew for the past three to four days, hence the decision to bowl.

Ireland's Innings: Ireland's start was disappointing as Shaheen Afridi dismissed two players for zero in the first over itself. Following this, Ireland's wickets continued to fall regularly until Gareth Delany and Curtis Campher contributed 44 runs together for the 7th wicket.

Ireland managed to score 106 runs with the loss of 9 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Gareth Delany top-scored with 31 runs, while Josh Little contributed 22 runs.

From Pakistan's bowling side, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Hasnain took 3 wickets each, while Mohammad Amir dismissed 2 players.

Pakistan's Innings: In pursuit of Ireland's 107-run target, Pakistan's start was cautious. However, they lost their first wicket at 23 runs when Saif Badar scored 17 runs and got out. Mohammad Rizwan also made 17 runs before getting dismissed.

Fakhar Zaman scored 5 and Usman Khan scored 2 runs before getting out. Pakistan's fifth wicket fell at 57 runs when Shadab Khan got out for a duck. Later, Imad Wasim also gave an easy catch at 4 runs.
